Visitors are encouraged to travel via public transport with connecting bus services available from Sandgate Station.
A free bus shuttle service will also operate from the Redcliffe Showgrounds (vehicle entry via Scarborough Road) to the walkway (Sutton Street) from 11.00am to 5.00pm.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid Sutton Street due to traffic diversions.
Off-street parking areas near the event site are located off Fisher Drive, Humpybong Esplanade and Creek Street, Redcliffe.
Visitors to Bee Gees Way are encouraged to bring water and wear a hat, sunscreen, and garments that protect them from the sun.
On the morning of Thursday 14th February, 4BC and Channel 7 will partner up for a “Breakfast in the Suburbs” which is the first of many free public events in 2013.
The 4BC Breakfast show with Peter Dick and Mary Collier – will broadcast LIVE from Rotary Park from 5.00am – 8.30am on the morning and Channel 7 will attend with their “all new’ News Team – to meet the crowds, sign autographs, take photos and hand out some random prizes.
On the morning there will be a free BBQ breakfast (sausage sizzle) and Vittoria Coffee for everyone attending, and one lucky listener will win tickets to see Barry Gibbs Brisbane show that weekend. Other entertainment will include dance routines from the Brisbane Dance Club, performing to favourite Bee Gees tracks.
Channel 7 will also host a “Listening Post” on the morning where they do record public comments on any topic of their choice for potential playback during the News that evening.
